Our Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible climate change education to support the transition to net zero housing.

Turbine Education provides tools for government and householders aimed at speeding up the transition to net zero housing.
Our Approach
20% of UK carbon emissions come from domestic properties. So in order to meet 2050 net zero targets, it's important we act at pace to clean up housing.
The transition to net zero emissions of the existing housing stock will primarily be achieved through a combination of government incentives and practical advice. Later, regulatory changes may also be required to force homeowners to reduce emissions.
Advice is already provided by many different types of organisations including local government, charities, installers and independent advisory organisations such as Turbine Education. Orang Energy is a tool we have developed to help homeowners understand the savings they could achieve in their house by switching to clean technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels.
In order to drive action by householders, advice should be simple; trusted; and energising:

Simple
Much of the advice related to clean technology is too complex. Advice needs to be clear and simple so everyone understands it.

Trusted
Advice should be tailored to personal circumstances. It's also important that any benefits and challenges are fairly stated.
Upgrading your house often feels like a low priority. By highlighting the long term benefits of clean energy, advice should energise homeowners to act!
Energising
